Airport Authority Fire Rescue Department is a highly responsive aircraft
rescue fire fighting (ARFF) unit. Upon approach to an aviation accident or
fire, aggressive life saving actions are initiated by the quick application
of fire fighting agents. Rapid knockdown of exterior fires are achieved,
foam blankets maintained, aircraft evacuation supported, scene stability
accomplished, and extrication of injured performed. Penetration of the
fuselage is achieved to sustain a more survivable atmosphere for passengers,
and for fire fighters entering the aircraft with hose lines. Fire fighters
are Nationally certified Emergency Medical Technicians providing quality
care to the flying public. This department will constantly strive to
improve fire safety, medical first aid, ARFF training, and other programs
within our Aviation industry. |
